Bonneville. Mere mention of the name is enough to send a shiver of anticipation down the spine of anyone with a feel for the days when Triumph's mighty twin was the hot-rod of the motorcycle industry.
And now the Bonneville is back - Combining the unmistakable good looks and unique character of the old Bonnie with performance and engineering quality that are bang up-to-date.
Half close your eyes, and the year could be 1969. The perfectly proportioned engine, lithe chassis and stylish slant of the fuel tank are achingly familiar. Others have tried, but only Triumph could possibly have built a bike like this.
The 790cc, air-cooled engine is a sophisticated dohc, 8-valve unit that produces plenty of power with an abundance of low-rev torque. It provides easy-riding smoothness with reliability and excellent fuel economy - plus plenty of the lively performance on which the Bonneville legend was based.
Clever chassis design blends the traditional simplicity of steel frame and twin shocks with fine handling and ride quality. The light weight, relaxed riding position and low seat add to the appeal on highway and high street alike.
At Triumph we have waited a long time for this moment - We hope you'll savour the Bonneville's return with us.
